Martin Garrix has announced his new album MARTY, a 14-track record set for release on March 5, 2027 via STMPD RCRDS and Darkroom Records. It is his first album under his own name since 2022's SENTIO.

According to DJ Mag, the album has been more than a decade in the making and was originally slated for late 2026. The announcement comes shortly after Martin Garrix was voted No. 2 in this year's DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll earlier this month.

Named After DJ Marty

MARTY takes its title from DJ Marty, the first alias Martin Garrix ever used, along with the slogan "Party with DJ Marty." The record looks back on growing up in public, handling fame and holding on to the passion that set everything in motion.

According to SPIN, Martin Garrix says MARTY distills more than 400 songs developed over a decade into a personal story about growing up, fame and what remains after death.

Bono as Co-Writer and Mentor

SPIN reports that the album features U2, Madonna, Ed Sheeran and Aitana, with more artists still to be announced, and that U2 frontman Bono contributed as a co-writer.

Martin Garrix has already worked with two of those names this year: Ed Sheeran on "Repeat It," released in May, and U2 on "Fireflies" in July, which SPIN notes was the first time all four members of U2 appeared on one of his tracks.

Beyond co-writing, Bono mentored Martin Garrix throughout the making of the album, pushing him to develop his voice and open up more. Martin Garrix sings on the album himself.

SPIN reports that MARTY opens with "Catharina," named for his mother. The song arrived in March 2026 as his vocal debut, and he sang again on "This Dream of You" in early October.

Revealed at an Intimate Spotify Event During ADE

Martin Garrix revealed the album at an intimate event for his top Spotify listeners around the start of Amsterdam Dance Event. We Rave You reports that he made the announcement at the end of a small DJ set, during which he played several unreleased songs, including another track featuring his own vocals.

DJ Mag notes that the previews included a song called "Ghost" and an as-yet-untitled track with Aitana, and that instead of big visuals and pyrotechnics, he used clips and photos from his childhood.

In a statement, Martin Garrix said: "Even though I've been doing this for most of my life, I still feel like I'm just at the beginning. That's really what this album is about: growth, moving through different chapters of life, and understanding that the love we give and the energy we put out into the world don't just disappear when we're gone. I want to take people with me on that journey and let them experience all those different stages of growth alongside me."
