One of the biggest announcements in Thailand’s music and tourism sectors this year is the government’s approval to officially host Tomorrowland for five consecutive years, starting from 2026 through 2030.
This decision aligns with Thailand’s strategy to promote cultural tourism by integrating music, performing arts, and large-scale international events. It also builds on the designation of 2025 as the “Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism & Sports Year.”
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) will serve as the primary coordinating agency, working closely with Tomorrowland International (TLI) and local partner We Are One.World (Thailand) Co., Ltd.
According to information reported by The Nation Thailand, the Cabinet projects a total of approximately 922,500 attendees over the five-year period. This includes an estimated 553,500 international visitors and 369,000 Thai nationals or foreign residents in Thailand.
The event is expected to generate significant revenue from three key streams:
Altogether, the economic impact is estimated at more than 12.05 billion baht, marking one of the largest MICE and event investments to receive clear government backing.
Organizers expect the number of attendees to grow from 50,000 in the first year (2026) to 75,000 in the final year (2030), showing confidence in Thailand’s ability to host a world-class electronic music festival.
If the project proceeds smoothly, Tomorrowland Thailand could become a major turning point for the electronic music scene in the region and a powerful tourism driver on a global scale.
