Tomorrowland has launched Great Library Design Studio in collaboration with renowned architect Dieter Vander Velpen, known for his luxurious architectural designs. Inspired by the Great Library of Tomorrow exhibition, this studio aims to bring the fantasy world of Tomorrowland into real-life spaces across Belgium, integrating the festival's artistic vision into hotels, entertainment venues, and premium locations.
As one of the most recognized music festivals globally, Tomorrowland is renowned for its elaborate stage designs and immersive storytelling. Now, it's extending this creative vision beyond the festival grounds. Vander Velpen explains that the design approach merges Tomorrowland's distinct identity with elements of Art Nouveau and inspiration drawn from nature.
Vander Velpen shares,
"We take inspiration from nature—trees, leaves, and the intricate details of living creatures. It’s about subtle expression, and the beauty lies in how everything comes together harmoniously."
The launch of Great Library Design Studio marks a major step for Tomorrowland as it expands from festival production into architectural and interior design. This initiative transforms the festival’s signature enchantment into tangible spaces, offering visitors the chance to experience Tomorrowland’s world-class luxury in real life.
One of the studio’s first projects is Morpho, a collection of furniture, lighting, and home decor inspired by nature and designed with attention to detail. Morpho is set to debut in April 2025.
For those visiting Belgium during Tomorrowland Weekend 1 & 2, expect to see Great Library Design Studio's architectural works showcased across the city, bringing the festival’s artistic vision to life beyond the main event.
