UNVRS Ibiza Named the World's No. 1 Club in DJ Mag Top 100 Clubs 2026 in Its Very First Year

It has only been open for one year. And it just became the best club in the world.

UNVRS has been voted the World's No. 1 Club in DJ Mag's Top 100 Clubs 2026, marking the first time in the two-decade history of the poll that a newly opened club has debuted at the number one spot. What Is UNVRS?

UNVRS, pronounced Universe, is a multi-million-euro Ibiza hyperclub that spans multiple themed rooms, each offering a unique sensory experience, from immersive LED tunnels and futuristic main floors to intimate art-filled lounges. DJ Mag It was built on the former Ku Club and Privilege site and opened on May 30, 2025.

The concept behind it was never to build a standard nightclub. CEO Yann Pissenem, who also owns Ushuaïa Ibiza and Hï Ibiza, said from the beginning that UNVRS was built to redefine what a club can actually be. In his own words: "It was conceived as a long-term vision to explore new possibilities in music, technology and human connection. A new kind of space where the scale of arena-level production meets the intimacy of the dancefloor."

A First Season Full of Moments

The club's first year brought highlights including a unique B2B2B2B set from Carl Cox, Jamie Jones, Joseph Capriati, and the Martinez Brothers; Anyma bringing out Travis Scott for a surprise performance; Carl Cox recording an all-night vinyl set for a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix; and takeovers from Charlotte de Witte and Sara Landry. DJ Mag The closing night featured ANOTR, Anyma, Black Coffee, Peggy Gou, and Rampa.

The venue also hosted DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs awards show, where David Guetta was revealed as the No. 1 DJ in the world for 2025, making UNVRS the backdrop for one of the biggest nights in the electronic music calendar in its very first season.

What Comes Next

The 2026 season already has confirmed residencies from John Summit, Anyma presenting ÆDEN, Jamie Jones, FISHER, David Guetta, Carl Cox, Tiësto, and Armin van Buuren. EDMTunes If the first year set the bar, the second year is already looking like it intends to clear it.

For Yann, reaching number one is only the beginning. "Being here carries a great responsibility, and a strong motivation to keep evolving, to push boundaries, and to explore what music entertainment can become when creativity, culture and experience are brought together at the highest level."
