ZAMNA Festival Is Coming to Phuket in January 2027 and Here Is Everything You Need to Know

One of the most influential underground festival brands in the world just confirmed Thailand as its next destination.

ZAMNA Festival is officially heading to Phuket on January 23-24, 2027, bringing one of electronic music's most recognizable destination festival concepts to Thailand. The exact venue within Phuket has not yet been revealed.

This is not ZAMNA's first time in Thailand. The brand already tested the Thai market with ZAMNA On The Beach at Club SEEN in Koh Samui on February 21, 2026. The Phuket edition in January 2027 will be a bigger, fuller production.

What Is ZAMNA?

ZAMNA is an electronic music festival brand born in Tulum, Mexico in 2017. It built its identity around cenotes, the natural limestone sinkholes of the Riviera Maya, hosting late-night sets in jungle surroundings under a concept rooted in Mayan spirituality and immersive sound. The name itself comes from Mayan legend.

What makes ZAMNA different from standard festivals is its format. Rather than a multi-day event with a fixed lineup, ZAMNA operates as a curated series of individual nights, each hosted by a specific artist or label. Past editions have featured nights curated by Afterlife, Keinemusik, Circoloco, ANTS, and Tomorrowland's CORE stage, giving each evening a completely distinct character and identity.

Artists Who Have Played ZAMNA

The roster of artists who have performed at ZAMNA over the years reads like a who's who of the global underground and beyond. Tale of Us and Anyma under the Afterlife banner have appeared multiple times across 2023, 2024, and 2025.

Keinemusik, the Berlin collective of Adam Port, &ME, and Rampa, have headlined sold-out nights. ARTBAT, Adriatique, Boris Brejcha, Mind Against, Agents of Time, and Stephan Bodzin represent the melodic and progressive side of the lineup. Black Coffee, Solomun, Maceo Plex, and BLOND:ISH anchor the house and afro house dimension.

More recently, ZAMNA has pulled mainstream global names into its jungle setting. David Guetta made his ZAMNA debut in January 2025 and returned in 2026. Tiesto, RUFUS DU SOL, John Summit, FISHER, CamelPhat, Eric Prydz, and Nina Kraviz have all played the festival.

ZAMNA has expanded well beyond Mexico, staging events in Barcelona, Madrid, Ibiza, Miami, New York, Sao Paulo, Dubai, Malta, and most recently Bali in Indonesia. The brand draws attendees from over 120 countries and has welcomed more than 160,000 people per year since its founding. The 2025-2026 Tulum season alone, running from December 31 to January 11, drew 120,000 attendees across 12 nights, the largest season in the brand's history.

What ZAMNA in Phuket Means for Thailand

For Phuket, the event adds another major electronic music name to its calendar while giving ZAMNA a new Southeast Asian setting outside its original Mexico base. Thailand already has an established international tourism base, strong nightlife infrastructure, and an audience that has proven its appetite for world-class electronic music experiences.

ZAMNA's arrival builds on that foundation and positions Phuket alongside Tulum, Ibiza, and Bali as a destination where the world's best underground electronic music happens.
