Seven years ago, on April 20, 2018, the world lost Tim Bergling. Most people knew him as Avicii. He was just 28 when he passed away, and the news left millions in shock. Even now, his music continues to mean something to people everywhere.

Avicii didn’t need complicated lyrics or overproduced sounds. His songs were simple, emotional, and easy to connect with. Wake Me Up, The Nights, Levels, and Hey Brother are still being played today, not just by DJs but by everyday people who grew up with them. These were songs that got people through school, heartbreak, long drives, and everything in between.

His influence wasn’t just about success or numbers. He helped bring electronic music to a wider audience. He made songs that crossed into pop without losing what made them meaningful. There was something honest and sincere in what he made. It never felt forced or overly polished.

Thai fans were lucky to see him live during Road to Ultra Thailand in 2016. That night left a strong impression. For many, it was their first and only chance to experience him in person. People still remember the atmosphere, the connection, and the feeling of hearing his music live.

Since his passing, his name continues to be mentioned with respect. In Sweden, an arena was renamed in his honor. Mental health awareness campaigns have used his story to open conversations. His legacy is not only in the music but in the lessons his life left behind.

Seven years later, his songs still carry weight. They bring comfort, joy, and nostalgia. People still pause when they hear the opening notes of Levels. They still smile when The Nights comes on. Avicii may no longer be here, but he left behind something that hasn’t faded. Something people still turn to when they need to feel nostalgia.
