Concerns about disruptions to Bangkok’s festival scene emerged yesterday after tremors were felt across the city. Despite this, preparations for events like S2O Songkran Music Festival, Siam Songkran, and VOID Fest appear to be continuing as planned. No signs of cancellations or delays have been reported.
The tremors were the result of a 7.7-magnitude earthquake centered in Myanmar on March 28, 2025. In Bangkok, the impact was noticeable but did not appear to disrupt ongoing preparations for upcoming festivals. Promotional activities, ticket sales, and setup processes are moving forward without interruption.
Although organizers have not released direct statements about the situation, some precautionary measures were observed. S2O Songkran Music Festival canceled its scheduled pre-party at Octave Rooftop Lounge & Bar last night. The decision to call off the rooftop event reflected a safety-first approach. However, the schedule appears to be back on track, with an S2O pre-party happening tonight at MU:IN featuring Smack.
Based on ongoing preparations, Bangkok’s festival scene appears unaffected by the tremors. Events planned for the Songkran period are expected to proceed as usual.
