At World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, drones equipped with LED lights projected glowing “EXIT” signs and directional arrows in the sky. The system guided concert and event attendees to exits more safely and in a more organized way.

In addition to enhancing safety, the drone signs also created a unique visual feature. The bright EXIT letters and arrows not only helped people leave the venue smoothly but also stood out as a carefully designed highlight that prioritized public safety.

The project was carried out by Drone Show Japan, a company specializing in drone performances. They believe this innovation could serve as a model for crowd management at concerts, sports events, and festivals worldwide.

Looking ahead, drone displays could be expanded for other uses such as emergency alerts, evacuation route guidance, or creative additions to live shows. This development has the potential to raise standards in event safety and management on a global scale.
