Like Mike Takes Tour Break, Withdraws From Tomorrowland 2026

Like Mike (Michael Thivaios), one half of the Belgian brother duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, announced on July 16, 2026 that he is taking a break from touring "for the next months" due to health challenges. The announcement came one day before Tomorrowland Belgium kicks off on July 17. It means he withdraws from this year's festival, while his brother Dimitri Vegas will continue touring solo.

EDMTunes reports that the announcement was posted as a Story on the duo's Instagram account. "Over the past months, I've been dealing with health challenges," Like Mike shared. "After careful consideration, and in consultation with the professionals supporting me, I've made the difficult decision to take a break from touring for the next months so I can fully focus on my recovery."

He did not specify the nature of the health issues, saying only that he will share more details when the time is right. He stressed that cancelling shows, including Tomorrowland, was not an easy call: "I would never do this unless I truly felt it was necessary."

While he recovers, Dimitri Vegas will carry the shows alone. "I know he'll make every show unforgettable, and I couldn't be happier knowing you're in the best hands like always," Like Mike wrote. He also made clear this is not a retirement. He will keep working in the studio, with new music coming when the time is right.

The two Belgian brothers have long been among the faces of Tomorrowland and twice topped the DJ Mag Top 100, in 2015 and 2019. Stepping back to recover is not without precedent in the industry. Hardwell announced an indefinite break from touring in 2018 to take care of himself.

- What This Means for the Tomorrowland Schedule -

The official Weekend 1 live schedule still lists Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike on the Mainstage on Saturday, July 18 at 22:15 CEST (3:15 AM Sunday, Thailand time), ahead of David Guetta's closing set. Whether that slot becomes a Dimitri Vegas solo performance or the schedule shifts remains to be seen, so keep an eye on the updated timetable.

For Weekend 2, Like Mike originally had a solo set at the Crystal Garden stage on Sunday, July 26. EDMTunes reports that the slot's replacement has not been announced. The duo's Tomorrowland residency at Ushuaïa Ibiza, running every Wednesday through September 30, also awaits an update, and Tomorrowland has not issued a separate response.
