LINKIN PARK – Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Phoenix, Joe Hahn – introduces new members Emily Armstrong (from Dead Sara) as lead vocalist and Colin Brittain (songwriter/producer for G Flip, Illenium, One OK Rock) as the band's new drummer!
Linkin Park officially marks their return by welcoming Emily Armstrong from Dead Sara as their new lead vocalist, filling the role left vacant since Chester Bennington's passing in 2017. They have also released a new single, "The Emptiness Machine," one of the tracks from their first album in seven years, titled "From Zero," which will be released on November 14.
The band also announced a new world tour, "From Zero World Tour," with special pre-sale tickets available from September 6 and general sales starting September 7. For more details, visit LinkinPark.com
Along with the new lead singer, there's another surprise: Colin Brittain, a renowned producer and songwriter known for working with top artists like ONE OK ROCK, Papa Roach, 5 Seconds of Summer, and MIYAVI, joins as the new drummer for the band.
The band members met multiple times over the past year to collaborate musically before meeting Emily Armstrong and Colin Brittain, who quickly became essential parts of the band, marking a new beginning for Linkin Park.
The new tour will start in six major cities: Los Angeles, New York, Hamburg, London, Seoul, and Bogotá, with possible additional stops in Asia.
Mike Shinoda described the new single, "The Emptiness Machine," as "a powerful and fresh representation of the true DNA of Linkin Park while staying true to the band's essence."
Shinoda also reflected on the "From Zero" album: "Before the band was named Linkin Park, we were called Xero. This album title represents a new beginning, a new journey both musically and emotionally. It reflects our past, present, and future, maintaining our unique sound with a new twist. We created this with love, passion, and connection from band members, families, and fans, and we are thrilled about what's to come."
