Major EDM artists are demanding action against Casey Wasserman following renewed attention around the Epstein Files. Newly circulated U.S. Department of Justice documents reference 2003 email exchanges between Wasserman and Ghislaine Maxwell, who was convicted in connection with Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking crimes. While Wasserman faces no criminal charges, the revelations have triggered criticism across parts of the EDM community.
EDM Artists Speak Out
Several high-profile electronic dance music artists have publicly criticized Casey Wasserman or called for accountability following renewed attention around the Epstein Files. The responses have largely unfolded across social media, where artists questioned leadership standards and publicly distanced themselves from Wasserman.
Among those who have spoken out are John Summit, ODESZA, Subtronics, REZZ, Seven Lions, Lane 8, Levity, Tape B, Of The Trees, Daily Bread, and ALLEYCVT. While not all artists issued identical statements, the shared theme centered on accountability and leadership responsibility within the entertainment industry. The fact that multiple major EDM names responded publicly has amplified scrutiny around the Wasserman Agency.

Casey Wasserman Responds to Epstein Files
In a statement released on January 31, Casey Wasserman said he was “deeply regretful” regarding the 2003 email exchanges referenced in the Epstein Files. He stated that the communication with Ghislaine Maxwell occurred more than two decades ago and maintained that he never had a personal or business relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.
Wasserman also acknowledged traveling to Africa in 2002 aboard Epstein’s private aircraft as part of a delegation connected to the Clinton Foundation. According to prior reporting, the trip included Maxwell, Epstein, former U.S. President Bill Clinton, and actor Kevin Spacey and focused on HIV awareness initiatives. He said he regrets any association with Maxwell or Epstein.
LA28 Backs Wasserman Amid Controversy
The organizing committee for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, commonly known as LA28, has publicly expressed support for Casey Wasserman in his role as chairman. Following renewed scrutiny tied to the Epstein Files, LA28 commissioned an external legal review into Wasserman’s past connections.
In its statement, LA28 said the review did not uncover any new information beyond what had previously been disclosed publicly and reaffirmed its confidence in Wasserman’s leadership as preparations continue for the 2028 Olympics.
What This Means for Wasserman’s Talent Roster
Although Casey Wasserman has not been charged in connection with Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes, the renewed scrutiny tied to the Epstein Files places added pressure on Wasserman Agency and the talent it represents across music, sports, and entertainment. While several prominent EDM artists have publicly called for accountability, others on the agency’s roster have remained silent, creating an increasingly visible divide within the industry. For artists currently represented by Wasserman, the controversy raises broader questions about leadership alignment, brand positioning, and how closely talent is expected to respond to agency-level issues. How the roster navigates this moment could influence internal relationships, public perception, and long-term trust within the wider entertainment landscape.
