Inside Our Hearts by Martin Garrix and Alesso is officially released today, July 25, through STMPD RCRDS. Featuring vocals by Shaun Farrugia, the single has followed an unusually long path from its first live play to its final release. What started as an unnamed ID at Ultra Music Festival in 2023 is now available on all platforms after nearly two years of requests, speculation, and version tracking by fans.

The collaboration first appeared in Martin Garrix’s 2023 Ultra Miami set, unlabeled and unreleased. Its melody and vocal phrasing quickly caught on, and it began surfacing in other festival sets across the year. By the time both artists included it at Tomorrowland, listeners had already started calling it “IOH,” shorthand for Inside Our Hearts, based on the chorus lyrics and fan community shorthand. Despite growing recognition, neither Garrix nor Alesso confirmed the track publicly.

That changed on July 14 during Alesso’s headline set at Ultra Europe 2025 in Split, Croatia. In the final minutes of his performance, he brought out Martin Garrix to premiere the finished version in front of a full mainstage crowd. As the song played, stage visuals revealed the title and release date, ending months of silence around its status and setting the stage for today’s launch.

The studio version is now live on Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube, and appeared in Spotify’s New Music Friday and mint playlists upon release. The vocal lead comes from Shaun Farrugia, who also worked with Martin Garrix on Starlight (Keep Me Afloat) and If We’ll Ever Be Remembered. This version closely mirrors what fans heard in earlier live sets, with refined production but no major structural changes.

Between 2023 and 2025, Inside Our Hearts became one of the most frequently discussed unreleased collaborations in the EDM space. Fans tracked it across dozens of live performances, sharing edits, timestamps, and vocal comparisons on Reddit, YouTube, and Discord. At one point in 2024, the song vanished entirely from festival sets, leading some to assume it had been shelved. Its reappearance in early 2025 during Alesso’s sets hinted that the final mix was underway.

On July 19, Martin Garrix closed his Tomorrowland Weekend 1 mainstage set with Inside Our Hearts, just days before its official drop. The crowd sang the chorus word for word, even without a released version available. That moment, along with the Ultra Europe reveal, signaled the end of its ID era and the start of its release chapter.

Now that Inside Our Hearts is officially out, it marks the first full release between Martin Garrix and Alesso. For fans who followed the song from its earliest plays at Ultra Miami through every version played at festivals around the world, this release provides a clear ending to a two-year journey. What once existed only in live recordings and setlist comment sections is now a fully available single across all platforms.
