Anyone with loads of spare money left in your pocket, go for it! SoundCloud, the popular music streaming app, has announced its sale for $1 billion.

SoundCloud, the popular online streaming platform that allows artists of all genres to upload their music, market it, and earn income from it, has announced the sale of its business due to losses. This is because the company's expenses are not balanced with its income. In the first quarter, the company only made $22 million in revenue. It spent $4 million on marketing and another $23 million on employee and general administrative expenses. This resulted in a shortage of about $5 million to break even. There have been rumors since last year that SoundCloud would be selling its business!

Sky News recently reported that SoundCloud is planning to complete the sale in 2024. A former employee said, "In the past, the company reduced the number of employees in May last year. The reason given was to focus on the ability of employees to generate more profit for the company."

Even though SoundCloud has been reforming its organization for several years, it has not yet had a clear result. This is because selling only memberships comes with a huge amount of expenses, which leads to losses or self-flagellation in order to keep the company afloat. The sale may be the best way at this point.

What do you think? Let's discuss it. Because streaming media has been a part of the lives of music listeners and DJs in Thailand for a long time. Last year, SoundCloud had 40 million users and had published more than 320 million songs on the service to date!
