Steve Aoki has released a collaborative track with Marnik and MR.BLACK titled “Instant Moments,” a rework of the 1997 trance single by Dutch act R.O.O.S. The song became available on June 25, 2025, as a standalone release and later appeared on Aoki’s full-length album HiROQUEST 3: Paragon, released June 27.

The new version of “Instant Moments” retains the main melody from the original while updating the structure with faster pacing and modern production. Writing credit is shared with Piet Bervoets, one-half of R.O.O.S. and co-creator of the original version. The track was released through Dim Mak Records and DJ Kid Millionaire, aligning with Aoki’s ongoing series of cross-genre projects.

Before its official release, the song was played during live sets at Ultra Music Festival Miami and Tomorrowland Winter 2025. Audiences recognized the sampled hook, which led to early speculation about the track’s origin and collaborators. Steve Aoki, Marnik, and MR.BLACK later confirmed their involvement across social media in the days leading up to the release.

“Instant Moments” is primarily instrumental, featuring brief vocal samples and a structure consistent with high-tempo electronic tracks used in festival settings. While it includes new sound design elements, the song keeps the core progression familiar to fans of the original trance version from the late 1990s.

An official visualizer was uploaded to Steve Aoki’s YouTube channel on June 25, the same day the single became available on streaming platforms. The video uses animated visuals and has been included in several unofficial festival recap clips across social media platforms. The track is also listed on Beatport and other DJ-focused platforms.

Streaming activity began accumulating shortly after release, with YouTube and Spotify hosting the main versions. In Italy, where Marnik is based, “Instant Moments” entered local music charts monitored by Popnable. The song also appeared in DJ set listings tracked by 1001Tracklists throughout June and July.

This collaboration follows earlier work between Aoki and Marnik, who previously released a version of “Bella Ciao” in 2018. For MR.BLACK, “Instant Moments” marks his first release with both Aoki and Marnik, and his first credited adaptation of a trance track from the 1990s.

HiROQUEST 3: Paragon includes more than 35 tracks featuring a wide range of collaborators from different electronic subgenres. The album was promoted as part of Steve Aoki’s summer 2025 tour, with “Instant Moments” included in multiple live performances throughout the season.
