Super Bowl LVIII: Tiësto Cancels, Kaskade Steps In
Tiësto was originally scheduled to perform at the Super Bowl LVIII halftime show, but he was forced to cancel due to a family emergency. He was set to be the first DJ to ever perform at the Super Bowl.
In a statement, Tiësto said, "I and my team have been preparing something truly special for months, but a personal family emergency requires me to return home to handle the situation."
Kaskade, a Grammy-nominated electronic dance music artist, will replace Tiësto on the bill. Kaskade is a Chicago native and has been a fan of the NFL since childhood.
In a statement, Kaskade said, "As a kid growing up in Chicago watching the NFL Super Bowl every year with my family, the opportunity to be a part of it is truly incredible."
