On May 22, 2015, Swedish DJ and producer Alesso released his debut studio album, Forever, through Def Jam Recordings. The album marked a significant milestone in his career, compiling both previously released hits and new material into a cohesive project.

Forever features a mix of progressive house and dance-pop tracks, highlighting Alesso's versatility in the electronic music scene. Notable collaborations include "Heroes (We Could Be)" featuring Tove Lo, "Scars" with Ryan Tedder, and his remix of OneRepublic's "If I Lose Myself." The album also includes tracks like "Cool" featuring Roy English and "Sweet Escape" with Sirena.

The album received mixed reviews from critics, with some praising its production quality and others noting a lack of innovation. Despite this, Forever achieved commercial success, charting in several countries and solidifying Alesso's presence in the global EDM landscape.

Ten years later, Forever remains a testament to Alesso's early contributions to electronic music, reflecting a period when EDM was gaining mainstream popularity.
