YG Entertainment is bringing its auditions back to Thailand with 2026 YG GLOBAL AUDITION in THAILAND, holding offline auditions in Bangkok on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November 2026, across two full days.
Advance applications opened on 1 September through the official YG Audition website and close on Friday 23 October 2026. The audition is open to anyone born between 2008 and 2015, with no gender or nationality restrictions.
This is not the first time YG has looked for talent in Thailand. The label found LISA at an audition held in Thailand in 2010, and three more Thai artists are inside the company today.
The offline auditions in Bangkok take place on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November 2026, across two full days. Getting into that room takes two steps first.
Step one is the advance application. The system opened on 1 September 2026 and closes on Friday 23 October 2026. Applications go through the official YG Audition website at yg-audition.com, or by scanning the QR code YG provides.
Step two is the result. YG announces the applicants selected for the offline audition on Friday 30 October 2026. Only those selected will be contacted with the date, time and location, sent to the email address given on the application form.
On eligibility, the audition is open to anyone born between 2008 and 2015, with no gender or nationality restrictions. On the form, applicants choose only one category they are strongest in, from singing, rap, dance, and others such as visual and acting.
Where People Slip Up
Each applicant may enter 2026 YG GLOBAL AUDITION only once across the entire audition period, so choose your strongest category carefully before submitting.
The official page lists the application window as closing on 24 October 2026 at 00:00, which means entries stop the moment Friday 23 October ends. Do not leave it to the last day.
Your face must be clearly visible in the photo and video you submit.
If you are selected and no email arrives, check your spam folder first, since YG sends the date, time and location to the address on the application form.
According to YG Entertainment's official announcement, 2026 YG GLOBAL AUDITION is the label's first large-scale audition in two years, running from July through December 2026.
The tour opened in Beijing on 19 July, followed by Chengdu on 25 July, Shanghai on 1 August and Shenzhen on 9 August. In Japan it started with Tokyo on 9 August, with Osaka set for 20 September.
October takes the tour to the United States, Taiwan and Hong Kong. November covers Thailand and Canada, and December closes the run in Australia and New Zealand.
One more thing separates this round from previous years: the categories. Alongside vocal, rap, dance and visual, YG has added acting and special talent this time. The door is simply wider than before.
In 2010, around 4,000 people turned up for a YG Entertainment audition held in Thailand. According to Rolling Stone, Billboard and biography.com, exactly one of them made it through, and that person was LISA, who moved to Korea at 14 without speaking a word of Korean.
YG LIFE, the label's official channel, states that LISA passed an audition held in Thailand before the company introduced her as the second member of its new girl group in June 2016, at 19. BLACKPINK then debuted on 8 August 2016 with the single album Square One. Billboard has described her as the company's first international recruit.
Several more Thai artists are standing inside this label today. PHARITA, the Thai member of BABYMONSTER, is one of them. YG LIFE reports that she came in through a competition ratio of 1,226 to 1.
Another is CHIQUITA, also a Thai member of BABYMONSTER, and the member with the shortest trainee period in the group.
The most recent is CHANYA, the Thai trainee YG introduced on 16 June 2026 as the second member of its new girl group project NEXT MONSTER, through a cover clip of the grudge by Olivia Rodrigo. Together they are the concrete answer to whether YG still picks Thai talent, and the answer did not stop with BLACKPINK.
The Thai-language line YG wrote on its own announcement page translates as: the next artist who will walk alongside YG is you, so apply today.
Nobody knows how many people will apply this round, or how many Thai applicants will make it through. What is certain is that the system is open right now, and it closes on Friday 23 October.
As for the slogan the label put on that announcement page, it reads WHO'S NEXT.
