Europe’s summer festival circuit stretches from beachfront takeovers to countryside arenas. While dozens of events compete for attention, a few consistently stand out for their curation, crowd experience, and artist bookings. Tomorrowland – Boom, Belgium

Tomorrowland returns with two full weekends, running July 18 to 20 and July 25 to 27 under the theme Orbyz. The multi-stage setup across De Schorre park will feature over 600 artists. Key names include Martin Garrix, David Guetta, Armin van Buuren, Charlotte de Witte, Solomun, Anyma, Jax Jones, Eric Prydz, Swedish House Mafia, and Amelie Lens. Tomorrowland

Untold Festival – Cluj-Napoca, Romania

Held at Cluj Arena from August 7 to 10, Untold brings together EDM, trance, house, techno, and top vocalists. This year’s lineup includes Martin Garrix, Armin Van Buuren, Becky Hill, Steve Angello, Fisher, Anyma, Tiësto, and many more. The venue is surrounded by parks and lakes, with forest stages offering a more laid-back vibe at night.

Defqon.1 – Biddinghuizen, Netherlands

Defqon.1 spans four full days from June 26 to 29. The festival brings together fans of hardstyle, rawstyle, hardcore, and early rave across more than ten stages. This year’s lineup includes Sub Zero Project, Vertile, Warface, Rooler, Wildstylez, TNT, Angerfist, Endymion & The Viper, Adaro & Unresolved, and many more. Signature moments like Power Hour, the UV set, and the Saturday night endshow return with synchronized lighting, fire displays, and crowd-wide choreography. Camping opens early for those staying across the full experience.

Defqon 1

Ultra Europe – Split, Croatia

From July 11 to 13, Ultra Europe transforms Park Mladeži into a three-day festival with mainstage, techno, and club-focused zones. The 2025 lineup includes Martin Garrix, Armin van Buuren, Swedish House Mafia, Alesso, Hardwell, Tiësto, Adam Beyer b2b Mau P, Eric Prydz, and John Summit. Side events like Resistance take place in clubs and boat venues around Split. The main festival is surrounded by beach parties and island after hours, making it one of the most travel-worthy weekends on the calendar.

Ultra Europe

Creamfields – Daresbury, UK

Happening from August 21 to 24 in Cheshire, Creamfields features a mix of outdoor and tented stages with a wide range of camping options. Announced acts so far include Anyma, Boris Brejcha, Bryn Kearney, Camelphat, David Guetta, Dimension, and more. Its strong lineup and setup continue to make it one of the UK’s most popular electronic festivals every year.

Parookaville – Weeze, Germany

Parookaville builds a fictional town over an abandoned airbase from July 18 to 20. The design includes streets, bridges, and installations that connect the music zones. Artists this year include Afrojack, Hardwell, Armin van Buuren, ARTBAT, Timmy Trumpet, Indira Paganotto, KSHMR, Da Tweekaz, Brennan Heart, and Cosmic Gate. The festival mixes high-impact visuals with playful site design, offering both day and night programming across genres.

Parookaville

Mysteryland – Haarlemmermeer, Netherlands

Mysteryland closes out the summer from August 22 to 24. Set on hills and wooded areas just outside Amsterdam, the event includes hardstyle, house, techno, and EDM across more than ten stages. With installations, tunnels, and color-themed zones, it’s one of the most visually detailed festivals on the calendar. Past guests have included Headhunterz, Claptone, Oliver Heldens, and Vini Vici. The layout supports both day visitors and weekend campers.

Mysteryland

Sónar Festival – Barcelona, Spain

From June 12 to 14, Sónar splits between day and night venues across central Barcelona. The 2025 edition includes Peggy Gou, Eric Prydz, Bicep with CHROMA AV, Four Tet, Honey Dijon, Dixon, Arca, and Nathy Peluso. Sónar+D runs in parallel with artist talks, tech showcases, and immersive sound labs. Known for drawing both creative professionals and international clubgoers, Sónar blends live visuals, hybrid sets, and forward-leaning bookings into one of the city’s most celebrated weekends.

Exit Festival – Novi Sad, Serbia

Held inside the Petrovaradin Fortress from July 10 to 13, Exit offers a mix of EDM, techno, rock, and experimental stages. Confirmed artists this year include Tiësto, Solomun, The Prodigy, Eric Prydz, Indira Paganotto b2b Sara Landry, Alok, Loreen, and Hurts. The venue itself features cliffside walkways, tunnels, and open-air bastions, creating a multi-level experience that runs well past midnight. Each night, the Dance Arena becomes a focal point for late sets and sunrise closers.

Exit Festival

Airbeat One – Neustadt-Glewe, Germany

From July 9-13, Airbeat One stretches over five days near an airfield outside Hamburg. Each stage follows a themed national concept, with large LED screens and full outdoor rigs. The 2025 edition features Afrojack, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Amelie Lens, Alok, Armin van Buuren, Angerfist, Brennan Heart, Miss K8, Hardwell, Steve Aoki, Sub Zero Project, Vini Vici, Oliver Heldens, and Paul van Dyk. The site includes camping zones, food villages, and wellness lounges, making it a fully contained summer base for thousands of fans.

Airbeat One

Dominator – Eersel, Netherlands

Dominator runs from July 18 to 19 and focuses entirely on hardcore and uptempo. Organized by Q-dance and Art of Dance, the festival takes place next to a lake in Eersel. The stage design mirrors the scale of hardstyle events, but with a darker and more aggressive tone. Regular artists include Angerfist, Partyraiser, F.Noize, Sefa, and Mad Dog. The crowd is one of the most genre-loyal in Europe, and the BPM stays high throughout both days.

Dominator

World Club Dome – Frankfurt, Germany

Held at Deutsche Bank Park from June 6 to 8, World Club Dome returns with its Moon Edition concept. The venue includes both indoor and outdoor stages across the stadium and its surrounding grounds. This year’s lineup brings together Tiësto, Brennan Heart, Angerfist, Anna Tur, Boris Brejcha, Don Diablo, Steve Aoki b2b Salvatore Ganacci, and crossover acts like Macklemore and Rita Ora. Frankfurt becomes a multi-day arena for EDM, hardstyle, and mainstage production.

World Club Dome
