During Weekend 1 of Tomorrowland Belgium 2026, two Thai artists performed on back-to-back days. On Saturday, July 18, Honey Gee played a b2b set on the Rise stage, and on Sunday, July 19, SABAI took the Planaxis stage. The two shows had nothing to do with each other. What they share is being Thai in the same Tomorrowland year, and the same next destination: this December, both are on the Tomorrowland Thailand lineup in Chonburi.

- SABAI From a Guitar Kid in Thailand to the Planaxis Stage -

SABAI, whose real name is Siraparn Takviriyanan, nicknamed Gene, was born and raised in Thailand, picked up the guitar at 13, and moved to Vancouver, Canada at 16.

The turning point came in 2013 at Seasons in Vancouver, where Calvin Harris headlined. As he told ihouseu, he walked away from that show wanting a stage like that for himself, taught himself to produce, and decided to quit school just before graduating to go all in on music.

Even the name SABAI comes from the Thai word sabai, given to him by Monstercat boss Mike Darlington, and as he shared in a 2020 EDM Nations interview, plenty of Thai fans have messaged him over the years asking whether he is really Thai.

He makes melodic bass and melodic dubstep, debuted on Monstercat in 2019, and his best known track is Million Days with Hoang and Claire Ridgely, released in 2020. He also made the single Never Fall with Thai artist BOTCASH, released through Monstercat, and BOTCASH is on the Tomorrowland Thailand lineup as well.

Then came Sunday, July 19, 2026, when Monstercat brought its artists to take over the Planaxis stage. SABAI performed on the same day as Seven Lions, Subtronics, and Liquid Stranger, with a set that included North Star, Daydream, and Say It Like You Mean It. EDMTunes called him the first Thai bass artist to perform at Tomorrowland Belgium.

This December, SABAI is on the Tomorrowland Thailand lineup, marking the first time he plays Tomorrowland in his home country, and the festival's official page even made an introduction video just for him.

- Honey Gee From the Livestream to the Rise Stage -

The other road started in front of a screen. In 2011, Honey Gee watched David Guetta's Tomorrowland set on the livestream and asked herself why she could not stand on that stage one day, a story she told We Rave You in January 2026. She grew up on the music of David Guetta, Avicii, Calvin Harris, and Zedd before moving toward Big Room. She has been a DJ for around 15 years, relocated to Germany in 2020 and began touring Europe, and has been ranked among DJane Mag's Top 100 DJanes, the global ranking of female DJs.

Fifteen years after that night in front of the screen, she performed at Tomorrowland Belgium 2026, playing a b2b set with Encure on the Rise stage on Saturday, July 18. She took the stage in a contemporary Thai outfit under the concept WEAR THE SOUL OF SIAM WITH PRIDE, designed by Kai Ugas, and greeted the crowd with a "Sawasdee ka". DJ Mag has confirmed she is on the Tomorrowland Thailand lineup this December as well.

The two roads meet in December. Tomorrowland Thailand runs December 11-13, 2026 at Wisdom Valley in Chonburi, and it will be the first time either of them plays Tomorrowland on Thai soil. One left home at 16 and is coming back to play. The other finally steps onto the stage of the festival she once could only watch through a screen.
