Coachella 2025, one of the world’s most iconic music festivals, returns with a genre-diverse lineup that spans Rock, Pop, Indie, Hip Hop, Electronic Dance Music (EDM), and more. Known for inviting global headliners each year, Coachella has seen performances from names like Lady Gaga, Post Malone, Lana Del Rey, Tyler The Creator, Doja Cat, Blackpink, and many more who have graced the stage across past editions.

While other genres continue to be widely featured, Dance and EDM have seen a steady rise in attention over the years. The number of artists may have been smaller compared to other genres in the past, but those who have taken the stage include Zedd, Anyma, Tiësto, Testpilot, ZHU, and Dom Dolla. These are acts with strong international followings who consistently draw large crowds. In recent editions, EDM has become a key part of the Coachella experience.

This year, EDM makes a clear surge with 39 percent of the overall lineup featured across both weekends. Following last year’s introduction of the Quasar Stage designed especially for EDM fans, the presence of electronic music is more visible than ever. Artists like Zedd, Mau P, Keinemusik, Above and Beyond, Sara Landry, A. G. Cook, Eli Brown, and Charli XCX are all set to keep the nights alive well into the early hours.

Not only that, this year also sees a 4 percent increase in Indie, Rock, and Alternative acts. From legendary groups like Green Day and The Misfits to newer artists like Sam Fender, Clairo, Still Woozy, and beabadoobee, the stage is set for a strong showing in this genre too.

Hip Hop sees a modest 2 percent increase as well, with artists including Travis Scott, Megan Thee Stallion, Post Malone, and Ty Dolla Sign appearing throughout the weekend. Coachella continues to evolve with each edition, bringing together an expansive range of sounds and audiences from around the world.
