Marshmello has announced that he is stepping away from pop music. The DJ and producer made the announcement in a post on social media, saying that he wants to focus on his roots in bass music.
Marshmello first came to prominence with his hit singles "Wolves" with Selena Gomez, "Happier" with Bastille, and "Silence" with Khalid. These songs were all pop hits, but Marshmello's early work was more focused on bass music.
In recent years, Marshmello has been collaborating with more bass music artists, such as Excision, Svdden Death, INFEKT, and Samplifire. He has also been playing more bass music in his live sets.
Marshmello's decision to step away from pop music is a sign that he wants to return to his roots. He is a talented DJ and producer, and I am sure he will continue to make great music in whatever genre he chooses to work in.
