Tomorrowland, one of the most globally recognized electronic dance music festivals, is reportedly preparing for its first-ever edition in Thailand in 2026. Multiple sources have pointed to Chonburi as the potential location for this large-scale international event. The development is seen as a major step forward for Thailand’s music and entertainment industry, with both domestic and international attention growing rapidly around the possibility.

Tomorrowland was first held in Belgium in 2005 and has since grown to become the world’s largest EDM festival. Every year, hundreds of thousands of people attend the festival, which is known for its large-scale stage production, themed visual design, and highly curated lineup of globally recognized DJs and performers. The event has built a reputation for setting the standard in production value, crowd management, and cultural impact within the electronic music scene. In 2025, Tomorrowland was officially ranked the number one music festival in the world according to DJ Mag’s Top 100 Festivals list.

Reports around the planned Tomorrowland Thailand event suggest that Chonburi has been identified as a strong candidate for the festival site. This decision is linked to Thailand’s broader infrastructure development strategy and regional tourism initiatives. Compared to Bangkok, Chonburi offers more available space for large-scale festival construction, as well as more adaptable logistics and easier operational conditions. These factors make it a practical choice for hosting a global event of this size. The location would allow Tomorrowland to build and operate its signature multi-stage layout and integrated production systems without major spatial or regulatory limitations.

While international visitors are still expected to arrive through Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi or Don Mueang airports, access to Chonburi remains convenient due to the province’s expanding highway network and its ongoing infrastructure upgrades. Chonburi is also considered one of the few provinces in Thailand that can support the expected visitor volume in terms of accommodation, transportation, and safety standards.

Since early 2024, the Thai government and Tomorrowland’s organizing partners have reportedly been working closely to assess site readiness and ensure regulatory alignment. The collaboration is focused on preparing Thailand to meet the technical, logistical, and administrative standards required to host a global music festival of this scale. If the plan moves forward, Tomorrowland Thailand 2026 could bring in substantial tourism revenue, broad international attention, and long-term value for the country’s live events industry.
