Skrillex and Boys Noize Tease New Dog Blood Music for the First Time in 7 Years

Skrillex and Boys Noize have teased new music as Dog Blood, an 84 second minimix stacked with unreleased material. Skrillex sent the link straight to fans through his own channel with nothing but a dog emoji attached, then confirmed what it was on Instagram Stories, captioning it "dog blood id mega mix 2026".

The teaser landed hours before the pair headlined Portola Festival in San Francisco on September 26, 2026.

The clip runs on the distorted bass and acid that have defined Dog Blood since the start, along with chopped vocals and a section that interpolates Rihanna's 2007 single Don't Stop the Music.

Neither artist has announced a title, a release date, or whether this arrives as a single or an EP.

Seven years since the last Dog Blood release

Dog Blood started in 2012 with the single Next Order, which went to number one on Beatport's Techno chart. The duo has come and gone in stretches ever since.

Their last official project was the four track EP Turn Off The Lights in 2019, followed by the single Fine Day Anthem in 2023. Nothing has come out under the name since.

Neither of them has been sitting still this year

Skrillex released the EP Kora in January and followed it with Soma in June. Boys Noize has a solo album called 7LLVSION on the way and recently worked on the Nine Inch Noize project with members of Nine Inch Nails.

The minimix is still up, and clips from the Portola set are all over social media if you want to hear what they actually played.
