F1 fans, take note. The upcoming F1 movie has been gaining a lot of attention with the announcement of F1: The Album, the official soundtrack presented by Atlantic Records in collaboration with Apple Original Films. This project brings together major names in electronic music and connects them with a film built around the world of Formula 1. It marks a new level of collaboration between two industries that have been slowly moving closer over the years.
While there have been past moments where EDM and F1 overlapped, this feels more deliberate. Dom Dolla is one of the leading artists involved, contributing the track No Room for a Saint following his performance at LIV on the Grid during the 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix. His involvement reflects a shift in how closely artists are now being integrated into the race weekend experience, not just through live sets but through original music tied directly to the film.
Other artists featured on the album include:
The lineup also includes major global artists such as Ed Sheeran, Tate McRae, Rosie, and Burna Boy. With a mix of electronic and mainstream talent, F1: The Album is shaping up to be one of the most wide-reaching soundtracks tied to the sport in recent memory.
The connection between EDM and Formula 1 has grown stronger in recent years. DJs like Calvin Harris, Martin Garrix, and Above & Beyond have become regular names during Grand Prix weekends in cities like Monaco and Miami. Their involvement shows how closely music programming has become integrated into the race experience, not just as background entertainment but as a central part of the weekend.
The film F1 is directed by Joseph Kosinski, who previously helmed Top Gun: Maverick, and is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer alongside seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton. Brad Pitt stars in the film, which includes real racing footage and appearances by current F1 drivers such as Max Verstappen, Lando Norris, and Charles Leclerc.
Both the album and the film will be released in Thailand on June 27.
