Tomorrowland Confirms Mainstage Fire, Festival Will Go On Without It
Following a fire that broke out on the festival grounds, the Tomorrowland mainstage has been completely destroyed. “This is terrible. It’s a stage that took years of love and passion to build,” said Debby from the Tomorrowland organizing team. “The production crew gave their heart and soul to this creation. They’ll be especially devastated.”
Despite the loss, the organizers have confirmed that the festival will still take place. “It will be without a mainstage, but we’re going to make it a great festival,” said Debby. Tomorrowland expects 38,000 guests to arrive at the DreamVille campsite as scheduled tomorrow, and the team is committed to giving them “a very warm welcome.”
“There were no casualties, and everyone is safe,” Debby emphasized. Staff did not need to evacuate, and the safety of all crew and attendees remains the top priority. DreamVille will open on Thursday, July 17 as planned, and all Global Journey activities in Brussels and Antwerp will proceed without changes.
Organizers are now focused on adjusting plans for the weekend and will release more updates as soon as possible.
