Thailand has officially secured Tomorrowland Thailand for a five-year run from 2026 to 2030, in a move expected to reshape the country’s position in global music tourism. The Cabinet approved the hosting agreement, aiming to boost the economy and establish Thailand as the leading EDM festival hub in Asia.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) will oversee coordination with Tomorrowland International, managed locally through We Are One.World (Thailand) Co., Ltd. This partnership supports the government’s “Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism & Sports Year 2025” strategy, which promotes large-scale international music and performing arts events as drivers of economic and cultural growth.

Projections indicate that Tomorrowland Thailand 2026–2030 will generate around 12.05 billion baht in economic activity, attracting an estimated 922,500 attendees over five years. This includes 553,500 international visitors and 369,000 domestic participants. Ticket sales are forecast to bring in over 5.2 billion baht, with sponsorship revenue reaching 3.5 billion baht and food and beverage sales contributing 1.9 billion baht. Attendance is expected to grow from 50,000 in 2026 to 75,000 by 2030.

With more than 5.5 million online followers, Tomorrowland’s global reach will help elevate Thailand’s brand as a festival tourism destination. The event is set to attract high-spending international travelers and create opportunities for Thai professionals to gain experience working with a world-class production team. There are also early discussions about establishing a “Tomorrowland Academy” in Thailand to develop local event management and creative talent.

Talks to bring Tomorrowland to Thailand date back to 2015–2019, but the project was paused due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Its revival marks a significant milestone for the festival economy and live music industry in the country, with long-term benefits for tourism, employment, and cultural exchange.
