Ultra Music Festival Releases 2026 Aftermovie SYNCHRONICITY and Opens 2027 Waitlist

Ultra Music Festival released the official aftermovie for its 2026 edition, titled SYNCHRONICITY, on 8 September, and opened the waitlist for early ticket access to the 2027 edition, which takes place from 26 to 28 March 2027 at Bayfront Park in downtown Miami.

SYNCHRONICITY Was Shot Entirely on Camera With No AI Imagery

The film comes from Final Kid Films, the studio behind Ultra's previous aftermovies. Founder Charly Friedrichs returns as director, creative director and main editor.

What sets this one apart is that Charly Friedrichs brought other members of the Final Kid team in as co-directors, with each handling a chapter of the film. It is the first time an Ultra aftermovie has been made this way.

SYNCHRONICITY is not structured as a conventional highlight reel. It opens with a prologue and then runs through five chapters titled Anticipation, Connection, Release, Surrender and Unity, tracing the arc from small individual moments to tens of thousands of people caught in the same feeling at once.

The team also states clearly that the entire film was shot with real cinematography, with no AI-generated imagery anywhere in it.

Looking Back at the Sold-Out 2026 Edition

The 26th edition of Ultra Music Festival ran from 27 to 29 March 2026 at Bayfront Park and sold out. The organiser's official announcement stated that it drew 165,000 attendees from more than 100 countries.

Several moments from that weekend are still being talked about: Skrillex appearing unannounced during BZRP's headlining set, which the official announcement says also featured Daddy Yankee; Swedish House Mafia turning their Main Stage slot into a festival within a festival; and John Summit bringing out Feid to close the Main Stage on the final night.

That same year, Miami-Dade County issued a proclamation naming 28 March as Ultra Music Festival Day, in a ceremony led by County Commissioner Vicky L. Lopez.

What Is Left for Ultra Miami 2027

The 2027 edition is the festival's 27th and runs from Friday 26 to Sunday 28 March 2027, again at Bayfront Park. The waitlist for early ticket access is now open through the festival's official website.

A check of the official Front Gate Tickets sales page on 9 September 2026 showed the 3 Day General Admission pass reduced to a waitlist button only, while the 3 Day VIP pass was still available to select. The VIP area is restricted to ages 21 and over, while the festival itself is 18 and over.
