Thailand’s Board of Investment has approved investment promotion incentives for VR One World (Thailand) to support the staging of Tomorrowland Thailand, marking the first time the global festival brand will be hosted in Asia. The inaugural edition is scheduled for December 2026 at Wisdom Valley in Chonburi, with the event planned to run for three days and accommodate up to 50,000 people per day. Organisers project that Tomorrowland Thailand will generate at least 21 billion baht in economic impact over five years, with more than 60 percent of attendees expected to travel from overseas.

The project is being developed by VR One World (Thailand), a Thai–Belgian joint venture between TL International, a Belgian company affiliated with the Tomorrowland Group that holds the rights to the festival, and One Asia Ventures, a Thai event company with more than 10 years of experience in international electronic music events. One Asia Ventures has previously been involved in festivals such as Siam Songkran Music Festival and other international productions in Thailand, while TL International brings more than two decades of experience from staging Tomorrowland and related events across multiple countries.

Tomorrowland Thailand will be staged as a three day electronic music festival at Wisdom Valley in Chonburi, operating under the global Tomorrowland brand for the first time in Asia. Organisers have indicated that the event will be designed to attract a predominantly international audience, with more than 60 percent of attendees expected to travel from overseas. Over its first five years, the project is expected to generate at least 21 billion baht in combined economic value through tourism, hospitality, and related industries. The festival is planned to accommodate up to 50,000 attendees per day across the three day programme.

According to the BOI, the project also includes the establishment of a Tomorrowland Academy, designed to transfer international event standards and operational knowledge to Thai personnel and businesses involved in tourism and festival production. The BOI has stated that this support is intended to help attract foreign tourists, strengthen Thailand’s image among high spending younger audiences, and generate revenue for related sectors such as hotels, restaurants, local products, and services. It is also intended to help upgrade skills within Thailand’s event and tourism industries.

With the approval now in place, Tomorrowland Thailand moves into its next phase with a defined location, timeline, and operating structure already outlined by organisers and government agencies. The combination of BOI support, international partnership, and a multi-year economic and skills framework means the project is being set up not only as a festival, but as a long-term addition to Thailand’s event and tourism landscape.
