From June to August, several cities across Asia including Taipei, Seoul, Bali, Bangkok, Tokyo, and Singapore will have festivals and events happening regularly. Some shows are part of tours, like Fred again..’s Asia run, while others take place only in a single city. The formats range from one-night club shows to multi-day festivals. Here are the events worth checking out this season.
World DJ Festival – Seoul
June 14–15 | Seoul Land, South Korea
Seoul’s biggest two-day dance event separates its lineup by style. Saturday features Alan Walker, Alesso, Anyma, and DubVision, while Teletech curates a second stage focused on UK techno. Sunday brings DJ Snake, Seven Lions, Dabin, Sub Focus, Blanke, and Ray Volpe. The triple B2B with DubVision, Matisse & Sadko, and Third Party has been showing up across the region this year but is still one of the most talked-about sets. Sunday sold out earlier than Saturday, showing clear demand for the bass and melodic side.
Why go:
You get two very different lineups in one weekend, with no overlap in sound. It’s one of the few events where both big-room and underground bookings get equal space.
Savaya Bali
June 20 to July 12 | Uluwatu, Indonesia
Savaya’s location above the cliffs in Uluwatu gives it a setting most clubs can’t compete with. This upcoming stretch includes Zedd (June 20), The Chainsmokers (June 25), Sam Feldt (June 27), Jonas Blue (July 4), Ameme (July 5), and Fred again.. (July 12). The Fred set is a DJ appearance and his first time playing in Bali. While it’s not a full live show, interest has been strong and bookings for that weekend picked up quickly.
Why go:
Each show stands on its own and takes place in one of the most scenic venues in the region. If you’re looking to see Fred again.. somewhere outside the usual city setup, this is the one date that stands out.
S2O Taiwan
July 12–13 | Taipei
S2O Taiwan returns with a two-day format and a lineup that includes Dimension, MEDVZA, R3HAB, RetroVision, Subtronics, and W&W on Saturday. Sunday features Wukong and the DubVision B2B Matisse & Sadko B2B Third Party set. The festival uses an outdoor venue with water cannons and timed effects built into the stage. The structure follows the Bangkok format closely.
Why go:
It offers the full water festival setup in a different location. If you’re based in Taiwan or looking for an alternative to the Thai edition, this keeps the core format with a strong lineup.
S2O Korea
July 12–13 | Seoul
Running the same weekend as Taiwan’s edition, S2O Korea features Afrojack, KSHMR, Dimension, MEDVZA, RetroVision, Said the Sky, Subtronics, SODA, LevelUp, Vicetone, Vinai, and W&W. It includes international bookings alongside Korean acts, with large-scale water effects as a key part of the show.
Why go:
It’s another chance to experience the format in a different environment. The lineup is strong and the production scale suits a bigger city crowd.
World DJ Festival – Japan
June 28–29 | Japan
The Japan edition pulls a similar lineup to Seoul, with a few additions. Alan Walker, Alesso, KSHMR, Nicky Romero, The Chainsmokers, Crankdat, and Dabin are all confirmed. W&W will go back-to-back with R3HAB. DubVision, Matisse & Sadko, and Third Party are also teaming up again. Seven Lions and Krewella round out the weekend with more melodic and vocal-led sets.
Why go:
If you didn’t make it to the Korea edition, this gives you another shot to catch many of the same artists with a few exclusive additions.
World DJ Festival – Boryeong
July 26 | Boryeong Beach, South Korea
This one-day coastal edition features Infected Mushroom, Mr Black, Sick Individuals, Showtek, and TJR. The setup is more relaxed than its Seoul and Japan counterparts, with the beach setting adding a different feel to the experience.
Why go:
It’s a shorter commitment and easier to navigate. A solid option if you’re looking for a quick festival day near the water without the full two-day format.
Fuji Rock Festival – Naeba, Japan
July 25–27 | Naeba Ski Resort, Niigata
Japan’s biggest festival returns with over 200 acts across multiple stages, bringing together global names and homegrown talent. Friday features Fred again.. in his long-awaited Japan debut. Saturday includes Four Tet, James Blake, Joy (Anonymous), Barry Can’t Swim, and Ego-Wrappin’. Sunday wraps up with Vampire Weekend, HAIM, RADWIMPS, and Vulfpeck. Held in the mountains with no overlapping sets, it’s a rare chance to experience both intimate live moments and large-scale festival production in one weekend.
Why go:
The lineup mixes electronic, indie, and Japanese favorites in a natural setting that’s become a tradition for many music lovers across the region.
Marquee Singapore
June 14 – July 12 | Marina Bay Sands, Singapore
Marquee hosts six international bookings across four weekends. June includes Ben Nicky, Seven Lions, KAAZE, and Sam Feldt. July follows with KSHMR on the 11th and Jonas Blue on the 12th. Each night is a standalone club show with full production inside a single-venue space.
Why go:
If you’re staying local or passing through Singapore, these dates give you access to major artists without needing to travel for a festival.
Fred again.. Asia Tour
July 12–25 | Bali, Singapore, Bangkok, Seoul, Japan
Fred again.. is set to tour across five stops in Asia, combining club sets and live shows. His Bali date on July 12 at Savaya is a DJ set and marks his first time playing there. Singapore follows on July 18 at Pasir Panjang Power Station. On July 21 he plays Bangkok at UOB Live, then heads to Seoul’s KINTEX Hall 10 on July 23. The run ends with a slot at Fuji Rock Festival in Japan on July 25.
Why go:
This is the first time Fred again.. is touring Asia with multiple stops in a single run. If you’re following him across cities or planning to catch just one, each show offers a different format and setting.
Summer Sonic Bangkok
August 23–24 | IMPACT Challenger Hall, Nonthaburi
Summer Sonic expands from Japan into Bangkok with a full two-day lineup. Artists include Black Eyed Peas, 21 Savage, Alicia Keys, Camila Cabello, JVKE, BABYMETAL, The Rose, Band-Maid, Creepy Nuts, Be:First, Chanyeol, and Lamyai Haithongkham. The festival is being held indoors at IMPACT Challenger and brings a mix of pop, hip-hop, and regional acts.
Why go:
It’s one of Bangkok’s largest multi-genre lineups this year, with names that rarely perform in Thailand. A clear option for anyone looking beyond electronic events.
Asia’s festival circuit isn’t just centered around one city or weekend anymore. With international tours, club takeovers, and multi-day events happening across Taiwan, Korea, Japan, Thailand, Singapore, and Indonesia, the region is more connected and consistent than it’s ever been. Lineups are sharper, venues are more focused, and the range of experiences gives you real options depending on how you like to travel and listen. If you're planning to go, this stretch is the one to watch.
